Programme Information
Environmental management is of growing importance in the daily operation of private and public sectors. Throughout the past few decades, new environmental tools and knowledge have emerged to enable policymakers and decision-makers to deal with environmental challenges presented in their planning and operation, including environmental management system, environmental risk assessment, environmental impact assessment, and pollution control technology, etc. At the same time, the establishment of environmental regulation in different jurisdictions makes it necessary for different sectors to comply with different legal and regulatory requirements. The multidisciplinary BSc(IEM) programme is catered for students who have a strong interest and dedication in environmental management and sustainability. BSc(IEM) has been accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professional Limited (HKIQEP) under the HKIQEP Accreditation Scheme for Environmental Degree Programmes - Undergraduate Level.

Graduates will gain a competitive edge, opening doors to a variety of career opportunities in the environmental sector, requiring only 5 years of environment-related work experience compared to 8 years for graduates from non-accredited programmes.

Entrance Requirements
Year 1 Admissions
HKDSE students should have:
Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language; and Level 2 or above in Mathematics (Compulsory Part); and “Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development; and
Level 2 or above in two elective subjects of which one is from the following subjects: Biology / Chemistry / Physics / Geography. The programme will also consider applicants with recognised qualifications other than HKDSE.

Senior Year Admissions
The programme reserves a number of Senior Year (i.e., Year 3) places for quality students holding Associate Degree/Higher Diploma (or equivalent) qualifications. Admitted students are only required to take 60 credit points and can complete the programme in two years. Applicants shall be considered on the basis of their academic achievements and interview performance.

教大欢迎内地应届高考生申请来港入读本科专业。教大实行自主招生，不影响学生填报内地高校志愿。学生报读教大的同时，亦可填报其他内地重点高校，两者并无冲突。若学生未获教大录取，会返回内地统招系统，因此仍有机会在本科第一批本科录取时获其他重点大学考虑。
申请人必须为内地31个省市/直辖市/自治区的应届高考生 (包括复读生)。各省市并没有固定的名额分配，教大会综合考虑申请人的高考成绩及面试表现(如适用)，择优录取。
申请人必须在应届全国普通高等学校统一招生考试中的成绩达到以下要求：
总分(不含加分)达到所属省市的一本线以上或特殊类型招生控制分数线；及高考英语分数达120分或以上(满分为150分)。

A wide range of programmes and services are offered to enhance your personal growth and career development. Assessment tests and workshops are conducted to strengthen your self-understanding, psychological wellness, interpersonal relationship and learning style. Career education and job search skills training programmes are also organised to help you understand your career interests, map out your career plan, as well as increase your employability. On the jobsite “Ed Job Plus”, you can easily access job vacancy information as well as apply to jobs online.
Health Service
Located on the first floor of the Administration Building, the Health Centre provides medical and dental services for all students. It also organises health education programmes in the form of seminars, talks, games and exhibitions on a regular basis.

Internship
The Internship aims to provide real-life platforms for students to integrate and apply their knowledge and skills on integrated environmental management acquired in other courses of the programme. Through the Internship, students will be able to solve real-life environmental problems, and engage in reflection and analysis on their Internship experience. The Internship also offers students the opportunity to consolidate and utilize their acquired knowledge in environmental management to address related fields with their acquired knowledge. In terms of career development, the Internship provides students with a vision and inspirations on an environmental-oriented career, and better prepare them for future development in the field.

Graduates can find employment across a wide range of fields, including Environmental Consultancy, Non-government Environmental Organisations, Public & Private Sectors in Environmental Management, Environmental Testing, etc.
Field Trips
A compulsory 3-cp Major course, the “Contemporary Environmental Issues”.
A series of seminars to allow students to understand selected environmental issues, along with field trips in the Greater Bay Area / Overseas.
